When bacon and Brussel sprouts are you favorite ingredients.
Feeds 2-3 People | 5 Minutes of prep time | 15-20 minutes of cooking time
Here's the stuff you need:
- One Lazy Sausage and Funghi pouch
- Brussel Sprouts- 5.3 oz or 150 grams, cut into quarters
- Bacon - 3 strips, julienned or cut into pieces (small-medium)
- 600 grams or 21 oz of water
- 30-40 grams or 1.5oz of parmesan or Pecorino cheese (grated)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil - small drizzle
Let's get cookin'! Here's the step-by-step:
- Drizzle a small amount of olive oil into a small pot and heat over medium-high heat.
- Add bacon to the pot and cook until slightly caramelized.
- Add Brussels sprouts to the pot and continue cooking until caramelized.
- Remove half of the Brussels sprouts, bacon, and oil from the pot and set aside in a bowl. We will use this as garnish.
- Pour water and a Sausage & Funghi Lazy pouch into the pot and mix well over high heat.
- Cook and stir occasionally until the water is absorbed and the pasta has a creamy texture.
- Add grated Parmigiano and/or Pecorino to taste.
- Add the reserved Brussels sprouts and bacon to garnish.
- Let the pasta rest for a bit, and then enjoy!
